Though the clean, modern look is beautiful, it’s the intricate, classic architecture that always is pleasing to the eye, to the point where it’s the inspiration to newer buildings.

Featuring my fellow photographer, Dylan, he took this photo during an adventure to the Americana in Glendale, CA. The Americana is an outdoor shopping area that takes inspiration from many different architectural styles. Surrounded by stores and boutiques is the courtyard, where people can picnic, enjoy the magnificent fountain, or rest their feet from the shopping. Across the street is the Glendale Galleria, full of stores of both high end and low-end. Everything in the area is walking distance, so for the explorer on foot, you’ll enjoy exploring this area as well.

“Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.” Quotation from Frank Gehry.
